Owen Wilson has signed on to voice the famous comic-strip character Marmaduke in the upcoming live-action/CGI film. Wilson was the last piece of the puzzle, with William H. Macy, Lee Pace and Judy Greer already starring as the people and Emma Stone, Fergie, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Damon Wayans and Steve Coogan doing voice work.
It’s really hard to pull movies like this off (see SCOOBY DOO and GARFIELD for reference), but I always liked Marmaduke, so I have hopes for it.
