Brendan Fraser is an enigma to me. On one hand, he can choose some good films like EXTRAORDINARY MEASURES, but on the other hand, he turns around and does an atrocious-looking film like FURRY VENGEANCE. The film is about a real estate developer (Fraser) who wants to plow over a forest to make way for a new shopping mall, all under the guise that it’s good for the environment. But the furry inhabitants in the forest decide to take matters into their own hands and start attacking the developer until he sees the light.
So, yeah, it’s an environmental movie sandwiched into a kid’s movie. It looks pretty bad, but on par with what we expect from Brendan Fraser. The film also stars Brooke Shields and Ken Jeong and is directed by Roger Kumble (COLLEGE ROAD TRIP). Vengeance hits theaters on April 2nd.
