Nathan Fillion and Linda Cardellini join Ellen Page and Kevin Bacon in Super

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that didn’t like Nathan Fillion. Even people I run across that don’t watch TV or movies will casually mention “I like that guy from that one show”. I think he has universal appeal and I’m still not sure why he isn’t a huge star. Now he’s joining an extremely star-studded cast that includes Linda Cardellini, Ellen Page, Kevin Bacon, Rainn Wilson, Liv Tyler and others in the upcoming film from James Gunn SUPER. The film is about a dorky guy who declares war on a drug dealer after said dealer takes his wife.
The premise sounds amusing, but I wonder if it will get lost in all of these super-hero wannabe movies. We just saw the new KICK-ASS trailer and that has a similar theme. I guess the difference is that the characters in SUPER have more of a purpose. Plus, SUPER will feature Ellen Page as the sidekick to Rainn Wilson’s superhero and Page never disappoints for a good performance.
