Steve Zahn in Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie trailer

Sometimes I’m at a complete loss when it comes to children’s books. Even as a kid, I wasn’t into traditional kids’ books. Aside from ‘Superfudge’, I don’t think I ever read a regular kids book. From what I can tell, the book ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ is quite popular with the youngin’s today and has even made it’s way onto the big screen. Aside from Steve Zahn, I don’t recognize anyone else, but the film is predominantly about…you guessed it, a wimpy kid dealing with Middle School. This reminded me a lot of a slightly younger version of Judd Apatow’s short lived TV show ‘Freaks and Geeks’ in that an underdeveloped kid comes to terms with the different social classes in school. Thor Feudenthal (awesome name) directs the film from the book by Jeff Kinney and it will open on April 2nd.
