Yes! This looks good. I’m a big fan of the original, even though it’s a little dated and I think this looks like it captures the feel of the original pretty well. The trailer was a little corny in the way they have the music playing, but once the scenes started cutting in, I was hooked. We only get a bit of dialogue, but I like what we heard. The original had some great monologues about life and money, so I’m interested to see what Oliver Stone has cooked up for us given the recent financial crisis. Take this line for example: “Someone reminded me that I once said ‘greed is good’, now it looks like it’s legal”. I love it!
Maybe I’m a little too excited, but this just looks like a good time to me. The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Michael Douglas, Josh Brolin, Susan Sarandon, Casey Mulligan, Frank Langella and even has an appearance from Charlie Sheen. Money never sleeps on April 23rd.
