Eric Bana will be traveling to Germany where filming is set to start on the Joe Wright action film HANNA.  In it, Saoirse Ronan plays a young girl raised in a CIA camp that’s raised to be a killing machine.  But when she befriends a local French family, she realizes her plight and is forced to fight her way out.

I’m a big fan of Joe Wright and I’ve praised his ATONEMENT to the point of exhaustion.  I didn’t like THE SOLOIST that much, but I do like it when dramatic directors take on action films.  If there’s one thing that the new Bond franchise has taught us, it’s that traditionally dramatic directors can add a much needed touch of legitimacy to an action film.  But this will mark the second film in a row that Joe Wright hasn’t cast Keira Knightley.  What’s up with that?
