Sam Worthington has signed on to yet another project, this time in the upcoming film THE FIELDS.  Worthington will be playing a Texas homicide detective that has to team with a big city New York cop to investigate some Texas Bayou murders.  What’s interesting about the project is that it will be directed by Ami Canaan Mann, who is the daughter of Michael Mann.  Her father will be producing the film that’s based on actual events.  Don Ferrarone wrote the script.

Up to this point, her resume isn’t exactly impressive, with nothing but an episode of ‘Friday Night Lights’ under her belt.  But with some help from her dad, this could be an interesting film.  Having Sam Worthington as lead isn’t a bad start.
