Seann William Scott talks Stiffler in another American Pie movie

Sean William Scott recently sat down for a press interview for his upcoming film COP OUT and the conversation turned to the AMERICAN PIE series, which Universal recently announced they wanted to bring back to theaters. Even though Scott is clearly the most successful of the former Pie stars, it turns out that he’s not completely opposed to revising the popular Stiffler character. In fact, he’s actually talking to them about appearing in another film. He had this to say:
“We came up with an awesome idea and I’m kind of at the point where I’m already known as that character forever anyways. As much as I want to do a part like Christoph Waltz in ‘Inglourious Basterds,’ I did ‘American Pie’ three times and then versions of that in ten other movies. If it makes sense and if it makes people laugh than maybe.”
That’s actually an awesome quote from Scott, who basically admits that he does the same type of characters and he’s cool with that. It’s refreshing to see a movie star talk so openly about their career and public perception and then to have them be dead on is a welcomed surprise. Personally, I think the Pie franchise is dead and Scott needs to stay far away from it, but there’s no reason they can’t get the rest of the cast back. Chris Klein and Tara Reid should be begging Universal for a chance to be extras on another Pie movie.
