The problem with animated movies is that it’s so hard to come up with something new. As funny as Dreamworks’ new MEGAMIND looks, I couldn’t help but shake the overly familiar feeling I had while watching it. It just feels like so many films we’ve seen before. With that said, I did find myself chuckling a few times and I do love the voice cast that includes Will Ferrell as the titular Megamind. Other cast members include Brad Pitt, Tina Fey and Jonah Hill. The film is about two “aliens” that barely escape their planets, only to arrive to earth and assume the super-villain and superhero roles. MADAGASCAR’s Tom McGrath is handling directing duties.
