Emma Roberts joins Scream 4

Weinstein’s Dimension Films have cast Emma Roberts in SCREAM 4. She will be joining the original cast of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. The film will be produced and directed by Wes Craven and is planning to start shooting in June.
There is not much word on the script but Roberts will be playing a lead heroine name Jill, similar to Campbell’s character Sydney. I don’t know too much about Roberts since I never saw NANCY DREW or HOTEL FOR DOGS but the nice thing about the name, “Sydney” is that it contains two syllables giving it a creepy sound when a psycho says it over the phone. I don’t see “Jill” having that same affect. I really enjoyed the original SCREAM but I’ll be curious if it has enough juice left for another successful installment.
