Is Tom Selleck serious about another Three Men and a Baby sequel?

My first instinct on this news was to go on a little tirade about how horrible sequels are, but then I paused and thought about this for a few minutes. So Disney is considering doing another sequel to the 1987 comedy THREE MEN AND A BABY that would be called THREE MEN AND A BRIDE. They’re also “checking the availability” of Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg. I actually don’t think this sounds that bad. Yes, none of those actors can carry a film and no, no one really even cared about the 1990 sequel THREE MEN AND A LITTLE LADY, but this would have a nostalgia feel to it that if done properly, could work.
Of course, on the other hand, something about this screams “straight-to-DVD”, so you never know how it will end up. With a decent, young actress as the bride, maybe this wouldn’t be completely horrible. And no, as much as I want to, I’m not going to make any jokes about Disney checking Steve Guttenberg’s availability.
