Gemma Arterton in talks with Ridley Scott about Aliens prequel

Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant

Hollywood can’t seem to get enough of up and coming actress Gemma Arterton, known recently for her roles in PRINCE OF PERSIA: SANDS OF TIME and CLASH OF THE TITANS.  And when I mean Hollywood, I mean one of the best directors in town Mr. Ridley Scott.  It  has been reported that Mr. Scott was so impressed with Ms. Arterton’s role in THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ALICE CREED, that he wants to talk with her about playing the female lead in the upcoming prequels to his 1979 sci-fi hit ALIEN.  Scott has been quoted as saying this about the upcoming movie:  “The film will be really tough, really nasty. It’s the dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?”

I don’t care how tough or nasty you make this film Mr. Scott, I’ll be there opening day.

Gemma Arterton
