Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively in the Green Lantern trailer

It’s finally here-the much anticipated GREEN LANTERN trailer from Warner Bros. Pictures! Ryan Reynolds plays Hal Jordon, a military test pilot who is given a mystical green ring that inducts him into an intergalactic squadron sworn to protect the universe. The film also stars Blake Lively (most recently from THE TOWN and televisions Gossip Girl) as well as the always enjoyable Peter Sarsgaard who will play Dr. Hector Hammond the Green Lantern’s enemy. The film is set to open on June 17, 2011 in both 2D and 3D and is directed by Martin Campbell.
This has been a much anticipated film for awhile and I must admit, it looks pretty good. Ryan Reynolds has really come a long way since VAN WILDER and from what it looks like, he will make a pretty good Hal Jordon. I’m still on the fence about Blake Lively since I haven’t seen her enough, I think this will make or break her for me. Watch the trailer here.
