Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 set to break records
Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant
It’s no surprise that HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1 is on course to break opening weekend box office records. What is surprising is that it opens today…and it’s already made over $35 million dollars in advanced ticket sells. That’s crazy! This means that right now HP7:P1 is on a course to pull in roughly $130 million before the end of the weekend. The only other two films that have pulled in this many advanced tickets sells are TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON and TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, which are one and two on the list with HP7:P1 right behind them (don’t underestimate Twilight fans).
We’ll of course keep you updated, but don’t be surprised when you see that HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 1 takes the box office this weekend and probably next weekend and maybe even the next. When you have your movie playing on 3,700 screens for the midnight showing alone you should definitely be breaking records of some kind.
