Matt Damon and Steven Soderbergh in Chicago on the set of Contagion

If you live in Chicago then you may have heard that Steven Soderbergh is directing a film in the area called CONTAGION. The film is about an epidemic that threatens to spread worldwide and stars: Matt Damon, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne, Gwyneth Paltrow and Marion Cotillard. Last month the cast and crew were filming at the Shedd Aquarium and today they are filming in one of the suburbs called Glencoe, where movie fans are lining the streets to catch a glimpse of Matt Damon. Can’t say I blame them, I would wait in the snow to watch a movie being filmed too. CONTAGION is set to hit theaters next October 21, 2011 and will be released in both IMAX an 3D formats.
Steven Soderbergh has been very busy lately as he just announced that he would take over directing duties on MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E in which he may re-team with actor George Clooney.
