Ryan Gosling will reteam with director Derek Cianfrance in The Place Beyond the Pines

With all the hype and press surrounding the upcoming collaboration of BLUE VALENTINE between Ryan Gosling and director Derek Cianfrance, is it really any surprise to hear that they will team up for another film next summer? The next project will be entitled THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES and will be a “Jack London-inspired” film. Cianfrance says that it will be about guns and fathers and will apparently be quite violent, sounds like something that should do well in Hollywood, right? No word on when filming will begin as finances are still being pulled together.
BLUE VALENTINE has gotten so much press and accolades lately that it’s become one of those “must see” films. Although be warned as the film will only have a limited release starting December 31, 2010 and since it’s still have a tough time getting an R-rating you may not be able to catch it in the theaters at all.
