Kathryn Bigelow directing an international thriller

Director Kathryn Bigelow and writer Mark Boal, of THE HURT LOCKER fame, are shopping around an international thriller that they would like to make before their big-budget film TRIPLE FRONTIER which is scheduled to start shooting in the fall of 2011. The dynamic duo are wanting to do a lower budget film, (around $10 million) which is about the same budget they used for THE HURT LOCKER, that they can pull together quickly since they have some downtime before doing TRIPLE FRONTIER. No word yet on what the exact plot details are, all we know is that it will involve black-ops and is a story that has run in print before. If they can pull together the financing we are sure to hear more about this in the upcoming weeks and months.

We already know Tom Hanks is attached to the upcoming TRIPLE FRONTIER, but there is still a lot of casting to be done so stay tuned for updates because this is going to be one of those films to keep an eye on.
