Armie Hammer may join Leonardo DiCaprio in Clint Eastwoods J. Edgar

Armie Hammer (best known for his role as the Winklevoss twins in THE SOCIAL NETWORK) is in talks to star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Clint Eastwood’s upcoming film entitled J. EDGAR (previously known as HOOVER). Hammer would play Clyde Tolson a lawyer turned FBI official and some say Hoover’s gay lover. The biopic will follow the rise of J. Edgar Hoover who is most famously known for turning the Federal Bureau of Invesigations into the establishment it is today. Filming will begin early next year.
I’m so excited to see that Armie Hammer is starting to get roles, and not just roles but really good roles. His was one of the best performances in this years THE SOCIAL NETWORK and I have no doubt that starring in a Clint Eastwood film (assuming this film doesn’t bomb like HEREAFTER) will open up a whole lot of choices for him in the next few years.
