Zac Efron to star in Die in a Gunfight

Zac Efron is attached to star in the drama DIE IN A GUNFIGHT which is movie written by NYU alumni Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. The film follows a young man who is prone to fighting and obsessed with death and decides to push the limits by becoming romantically involved with his father’s enemy. DIE IN A GUNFIGHT will be produced under Efron’s company Ninjas Runnin Wild. No word on when shooting will start or who will be cast opposite of Efron.

I’ve never understood the obsession with teen stars, but let me tell you that if I was a teen right now (thank goodness I’m not) I would be a Zac Efron fan. Why? Because the guy can dance, and a guy who can dance and sing-that’s a double whammy just like John Travolta in GREASE. Plus he can act, which let’s face it some of these teens can’t. I know it would be a step back for him, but I’d love to see Efron on TV’s Glee just so I don’t have to sit through HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.
