Jon Favreau will not direct Robet Downey, Jr. in Iron Man 3

It has been confirmed that Jon Favreau will not be returning to direct the third film in the IRON MAN franchise and will instead concentrate on other projects, such as Disney’s MAGIC KINGDOM. Apparently this is no surprise to anyone in Hollywood since it was a bit of struggle to get him to make IRON MAN 2. Jon Favreau had this to say about the next film in the franchise:
In theory, Iron Man 3 is going to be a sequel or continuation of Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Avengers. This whole world … I have no idea what it is. I don’t think they do either, from conversations I’ve had with those guys.
That statement doesn’t sound too complimentary to Marvel, but what can you do. Some think that Favreau was just asking for too much money to continue on, which is why the second film was such a struggle, and since Marvel likes to keep the costs of it’s film low it’s no surprise everyone parted ways.
