Red sequel in the works

With the success of last year’s retired assassin (or hitmen, or black-ops-whatever you’d prefer) film RED, Summit Entertainment has decided that they wanted to hop on the sequel wagon make another film to follow. Although none of the actors or the director have agreed to come back on board, Erich and Jon Hoeber have been tasked to begin writing the script. I guess it was inevitable since this is the dawn of sequels, but it still doesn’t make it right. Due to the overwhelming success (over $90 million at the box office) we may just get to see these actors back in action.

I haven’t had chance to see RED yet, but it has Bruce Willis in it so I know it’ll be good. In fact, he’s probably the reason why it made so much money in the first place. RED stars Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich and comes to Blu-ray January 25th, 2011.
