Josh Lucas joins Leonardo DiCaprio in Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar

Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant

This may be a huge break for Josh Lucas as he lands a role in Clint Eastwood’s next film J. EDGAR. This coupled with the fact that he is one of the top contenders for ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER and we may just have to stick him near the A-listers. Lucas will play the role of Charles Lindbergh in the upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic. The character of Lindbergh is significant as one of the big Hoover investigations was the Lindbergh baby kidnapping.

So, this cast is shaping up quite nicely with: Leonardo DiCaprio, Armie Hammer, Josh Lucas, Ed Westwick and Judy Dench.  Charlize Theron turned down a role and now Clint is looking at Naomi Watts or Amy Adams to fill the space. Either one of these ladies will be great and we’ll keep you posted on who lands the role. J. EDGAR opens in theaters sometimes towards the end of 2011 and filming will begin next month.
