Tom Cruise looking to star in Guillermo del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness

Being a staunch Tom Cruise supporter, I’ve had to defend him over the years through a series of incidents and accidents and so the news that he is close to starring in AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS comes as big relief. The film will be directed by Guillermo del Toro, who is one of the few people in the eyes of fanboys that can do no wrong. So starring in one of his movies is a great way for Cruise to remind the world of how great he is and hopefully make people forget that he has a tendency to go a little crazy from time to time. There’s nothing wrong with that, as long as you back it up with some great movies, which Cruise has failed to do lately.

The film is based off the H.P. Lovecraft story of the same name and will be produced by none other than James Cameron. In fact, the news of Cruise’s involvement came from Cameron himself who claimed that they were hoping to get a deal closed soon. Cruise can next be seen in MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL.
