Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster's film The Beaver gets delayed

When I first saw this piece of news I immediately thought the same thing you did, “What did Mel Gibson do now?” Turns out he did nothing (well, nothing more than being his charming self) but Summit Entertainment has decided to push back the release of THE BEAVER. The film, starring Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster, about a man who has a psychological break and starts walking around with a beaver puppet on his hand has had a lot of press recently. Summit wants all of the actors to be available for the release date, so they are moving the opening from March 23rd to May 6th. By this time Foster will be done with all of her projects and the film would have opened at a festival or two and gained some press.

I think this film looks pretty funny and I’m looking forward to seeing it. I wonder if Summit is concerned about Mr. Gibson having another couple of months to hold it together and keep his mouth shut?
