Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth may join Mia Wasikowska in Stoker

Even though STOKER sounds like it will be a good film, I was skeptical as to why Mia Wasikowska would chose that over THE WETTEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. However, now that Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth are in negotiations to star alongside her it would appear that she made the right choice. Today we learn that Wasikowska is indeed confirmed to star in the Park Chan-Wook (OLDBOY and THIRST) film and Kidman and Firth are in serious negotiations to board as well. The film focuses on a young teen who is dealing with the recent death of her father and the sudden appearance of her uncle to comes into town. Shooting should begin sometime this spring.
What an excellent cast Park Chan-Wook has gathered together, two same year Academy Award nominees is no small feat. This script combined with a great director must equal some kind of star magnet.
