Jude Law in photos from Steven Soderbergh's Contagion

Several photos have been released from Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming thriller CONTAGION. Below you can see what San Francisco will look like after a monster virus takes over and starts killing off people. It looks pretty dirty and gross, why can’t people just pick up after themselves. Anyhow, the film stars: Matt Damon, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne, Gwyneth Paltrow and Marion Cotillard. You can see Jude Law in a couple of these photos all dressed in a haz-mat like suit to avoid getting the cooties. CONTAGION opens in theaters October 21, 2011 and will be released in both IMAX and 3D formats.

I’ll be interested to see Soderbergh’s take on a viral epidemic. It’s been done several times in film (my favorite was the 1985 OUTBREAK- Dustin Hoffman was awesome) so it’ll be tough to bring something new and fresh to the table. Although, new and fresh isn’t really a problem with Soderbergh so I’m sure this film will be quite enjoyable and disturbing.
