Leonardo DiCaprio to re-team with Martin Scorsese in The Wolf of Wall Street

Martin Scorsese has just taken the reins over from Ridley Scott for the upcoming film THE WOLF OF WALL STREET and he will be re-teaming with actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The film is based on the bestselling novel by Jordan Belfort and follows “a drug-, alcohol-, and sex-addicted brokerage firm operator’s rise and fall — from multi-millionaire twenty-something in the go-go eighties to federal-convict thirty-something banned from the securities business for life in 1994.” The film was originally going to be headed up by Warner Bros. but independent financing has been procured so this will be considered an indie film. Right now it looks like with the booked schedules of DiCaprio and Scorsese, this film won’t start shooting until the summer of next year but we’ll let you know more details when we get them.
Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio seem like such a superstar team on paper but this dynamic duo still hasn’t brought home a little gold statuette for DiCaprio. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed and this will be my back up if DiCaprio doesn’t get an Oscar for J. EDGAR.
