Jessica Biel and Uma Thurman to team up with Gerard Butler in Playing the Field

Jessica Biel and Uma Thurman have signed on to play rival soccer moms in the upcoming comedy PLAYING THE FIELD with Gerard Butler. The two ladies will be vying for the attention of Gerard Butler who will play a professional soccer player who ends up coaching his son’s little league soccer team. Biel will play Butler’s ex-wife and Thurman will play a mom of a kid on another team. The film will be directed by Gabrielle Muccino who directed the Will Smith film SEVEN POUNDS. No word on when this will go in front of the cameras.
Some people love Gerard Butler and some people can’t stand him. All I know is that he really needs to redeem himself in a lot of people’s eyes because his last few flicks have done less than stellar at the box office. Maybe the addition of Jessica Biel and Uma Thurman will help, but we’ll just have to see.
