Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams bringing Blue Valentine to Blu-ray

Anchor Bay Home Entertainment has announced that the drama BLUE VALENTINE, starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams, will be available on Blu-ray May 10, 2011. The film follows a couple whose marriage is falling apart but it’s intertwined with another part of their relationship where they are meeting and falling in love. BLUE VALENTINE has had controversy surrounding it because it was initially given an NC-17 rating but Harvey Weinstein personally appealed until the decision was overturned. Michelle Williams has been nominated for Best Actress for her performance in this film.
BLUE VALENTINE was a great character study and a film that I would recommend to most film fans. Even though I enjoyed it, I don’t know if I could re-watch it because part of the experience was watching the story unfold. Williams and Gosling did fantastic and I truly believe Ryan Gosling should have received an Academy Award nomination as well. Special features include:
