Ken, Barbie and Woody in a teaser trailer for the Toy Story Hawaiian Vacation short

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a teaser trailer for a short film that was going to be released in front of a full length film, but leave it to Pixar to drum up some publicity for any of their movies. Below you can see a quick (like less than 30 seconds) clip from the upcoming TOY STORY HAWAIIAN VACATION short film that will be in front of CARS 2. Ken and Barbie try to steal away in Bonnie’s backpack for a trip to Hawaii, but something obviously goes awry and they don’t make it. Poor Ken, he’s so dumb. Thankfully for them, they have a lot of big-hearted, plastic friends who will help them with their romantic getaway. Also, this short will be in 3D, yay?
You can see the full length Toy Story cartoon in front of Pixar’s CARS 2 which hits theaters on June 24, 2011. CARS 2 features the voice talents of Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater.
