Eleanor Tomlinson teams with Nicholas Hoult in Jack the Giant Killer

Actress Eleanor Tomlinson (ALICE IN WONDERLAND) has landed the female lead in the upcoming fairy tale adaptation JACK THE GIANT KILLER. She will play the princess who gets kidnapped by giants and must be rescued by Jack, who will be played by Nicholas Hoult. The film will also star Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy, John Kassir and possibly Ewan McGregor. Shooting is supposed to start later this month with no set release date.
I don’t know why, but I just can’t get excited for this film. It has a decent cast but there just seems like something is off about it. Like the studio (New Line and Legendary Pictures) needed a film to compete with all the other fairy tale films, so they just grabbed the first one that hopped into their lap. Hopefully I’m wrong and this film will wow audiences because I really like Stanley Tucci and Ewan McGregor needs a win as well.
