Joss Whedon's The Avengers villain revealed

This hasn’t been confirmed by any studio just yet, but rumors are out there that the villain(s) for the upcoming film THE AVENGERS have been revealed. It’s been reported that the villain for the film will be Loki, who also happens to be the adoptive brother of Thor, so everything ties in nicely since Loki will be in the upcoming film THOR and his “cosmic cube” will be seen in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER. Now like we said, this is still hearsay so don’t get your hopes up too high, there’s also a good chance the villains could be The Skrulls (who are alien humanoids), but Fox Studio only has rights to the Super Skrull, not the entire group, so really Loki is a better bet.

THE AVENGERS will be directed by Joss Whedon (yay!) and stars:Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Cobie Smulders.
