Julianne Moore joins Jeff Bridges in The Seventh Son; Alex Pettyfer no longer attached

Another young adult novel making its way to the big screen, but not getting a lot of love like THE HUNGER GAMES, is THE SEVENTH SON (formerly known as THE LAST APPRENTICE). Jeff Bridges signed on to star in the franchise about a witch hunter and his apprentice and now Julianne Moore has joined the cast as a bad guy (which I’m presuming will be a really bad witch). Jennifer Lawrence and Alex Pettyfer were both in the running to star in this franchise, but as we all know Lawrence went on to take the lead in THE HUNGER GAMES which is where some think Pettyfer may be headed as well (although that’s still speculation). All we know for sure is that Julianne Moore is in, and Alex Pettyfer is out.
THE SEVENTH SON will begin production this coming fall, so keep your eyes peeled for who will be cast as the young apprentice, Tom Ward.
