Samantha Morton joins Robert Pattinson in Cosmopolis

Robert Pattinson recently spilled the beans in an interview and let it slip that Samantha Morton (MINORITY REPORT and SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK) has recently joined the cast for the upcoming David Cronenberg film COSMOPOLIS. The story follows a 24-hour period in a rich man’s life (Pattinson) who in a short day loses his fortune, cheats on his wife, gets attacked by a protester and is being stalked by a gentleman (Paul Giamatti). We recently reported that Juliette Binoche had joined the cast, but no word on whether she will play the wife or mistress- most likely the mistress while Morton portrays the wife. The film is set to start shooting this may in Toronto.
Even though earlier this year it had appeared that COSMOPOLIS was falling apart with all the cast dropping out (remember for awhile it had Colin Ferrell, Marion Cotillard and Keira Knightley all attached at one point) things appear to be looking up and this may just end up being a pretty decent film.
