The Hangover Part II trailer has been pulled from theaters

What’s life without a little controversy once in awhile? Looks like Warner Bros. has pulled the first trailer for the summer comedy THE HANGOVER PART II which debuted at the front of SOURCE CODE. THE HANGOVER PART II stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha as they have another night of drunken debauchery, this time taking place in Thailand. The comedy is rated R while SOURCE CODE was rated PG-13, so there are some discrepancies and Warner Bros. has stated, “In our haste to meet the placement schedule for this trailer, we failed to properly vet the final version with the MPAA. We acted immediately to correct the mistake and removed the trailer from screens.” Turns out that the trailer is a little too much for even R-rated films so the studio will have to go back and tone the trailer down before re-releasing it in front of other films, most notable SCREAM 4 which opens next weekend.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the trailer for THE HANGOVER PART II, you can see it below. The film opens in theaters on May 26, 2011.
