Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev and Paul Rudd join Emma Watson in The Perks of Being a Wallflower

One of the next coming-of-age films in the works is the adaptation of the Stephen Chbosky novel THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER. The film already has two talented youngsters on board with HARRY POTTER’s Emma Watson and PERCY JACKSON’s Logan Lerman and it looks like the film is adding an established comedian and another young star from the popular television show ‘The Vampire Diaries’. Paul Rudd and Nina Dobrev are set to join the film that follows a shy high school freshman who is trying to find his way through drugs, sex and with a series of letters written from an anonymous person. Along with Watson and Lerman, Rudd and Dobrev will also join SCOTT PILGRIM’s Mae Whitman with veteran actor John Malkovich producing. Filming is set to begin next month.
I hope this film ends up being as good as the cast and story line sounds, but adding Paul Rudd to a film always makes it better.
