Paul Rudd, Steve Coogan and Hugh Dancy in new images from Our Idiot Brother

One of the smaller films coming out this summer that I’m looking forward to is the recently re-titled OUR IDIOT BROTHER (it was called MY IDIOT BROTHER). The film is about a lifelong slacker that gets kicked out of his girlfriend’s house and must move back home. But no one in his family wants him and he gets passed around between his more successful sisters. Of course, each of them have their own quirks and husbands/boyfriends, so this comedy should have plenty of material to draw upon. It also features an A-list, star-studded cast.
Along with Paul Rudd, the film stars Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Hugh Dancy, T.J. Miller and Steve Coogan. The only problem with a comedy with that kind of cast is that the pressure is really going to be on for it to be touching and funny. Let’s hope director Jesse Peretz is ready for the challenge. OUR IDIOT BROTHER hits theaters on August 26th.
