Sofia Coppola and Kirsten Dunst will reteam on Secret Door

It’s extremely tough to write a news article when all the details are being kept secret. So even though we have an “official” announcement that Sofia Coppola’s next film is entitled SECRET DOOR and will feature Kirsten Dunst again, we don’t really know anything else about the project. I can assume that this is another original work from Coppola, but other than that, I have no idea.

Dunst has worked with Coppola previously on THE VIRGIN SUICIDES and MARIE ANTOINETTE. I’m surprised Coppola would reunite with Dunst because after her last effort, SOMEWHERE, was so excruciatingly awful, I figured she’d want to get a sure-fired hit under her belt. I’m not saying Dunst can’t do that for her, but Dunst has been out of the public eye for a while and she’s not who I’d bet on for box office success.

UPDATE: So, apparently, this is all fake. It seems someone took the time to open up a fake Twitter account under Francis Ford Coppola’s production company’s name, post some updates and even took the time to write a few pages of the script. What I don’t understand is…why? It’s not like this news is earth shattering or even interesting, so why make something like this up? If you’re going to get on the internet and trick a bunch of sites into reporting false news, you need to make it interesting. So if you were for some reason excited by this, then I apologize for the confusion.
