Vera Farmiga joins Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington in Safe House

One of the more intriguing films on the horizon that doesn’t seem to be getting much buzz is the Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington action film SAFE HOUSE. In the film, Reynolds plays an agent assigned to protect a prisoner (Washington) that is attacked by assassins at their safe house. Vera Farmiga has signed on to join the film as the operative that oversees Reynolds’s character. It seems to be a smaller part, but one I’m sure Farmiga will make the most of. The script was written by David Guggenheim and then rewritten by Terry George. I like the premise of the film, but if not done correctly, it could turn out to be something we’ve seen before.
Along with Reynolds and Washington, the film also stars Brendan Gleeson, Tim McGraw, Sam Shepard, Robert Patrick, Ruben Blades and Nora Arnezeder. Daniel Espinosa is directing the film that won’t hit theaters until next February 10th.
