The Office's Mindy Kaling joins Jason Segel and Emily Blunt in Five Year Engagement

The upcoming comedy FIVE YEAR ENGAGEMENT has just added another cast member in comedian Mindy Kaling. You may know her best as the bubbly customer service representative Kelly Kapoor on the hit television show ‘The Office’ and may even remember her from such comedies as 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN and NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Kaling will join Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, Jackie Weaver and Alison Brie in the comedy about an engaged couples relationship and the ups and downs during their five year engagement. The film is set to hit theaters sometime in 2012 and will be directed by Nicholas Stoller.
I’ll be interested to see how this comedy pans out next year. There’s no doubting my love for Jason Segel and his writing and I have the utmost faith that he will deliver to some degree, but I feel like this has been done in the past and I’m not quite sure how he will be able to spice it up. I’m sure it will be hilarious but I’m holding in my excitment.
