Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to Terminator franchise

I know what you’re thinking right now. You’re thinking that you clicked on this story and have been transported back to the late 1980’s and are reading about how our favorite muscle-y guy Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to be doing a sequel to the smash hit TERMINATOR. Nope, you’re still nice and cozy here in 2011 but the story stands true- after all,Arnold said he would be back (I know that was bad but I had to do it).

It looks like the TERMINATOR franchise is going to be revived and a package that includes Arnie is being shopped around to studios looking for a taker to throw down some mney. Currently attached as potential director is Justin Lin who has a little film coming out this weekend called FAST FIVE. He may not have been huge when he was brought on board earlier this year, but his star is about to rise a little higher. There’s no word on a time frame, but rights to the TERMINATOR franchise revert back to James Cameron in 2018 so if another film (or two) is to made, it must be done in the next few years. Although we all know how fast something gets in front of the camera once a deal is made. So keep an eye out for news sprouting up about this project in the next few months. Hey, maybe if we’re all lucky Christian Bale would come back too. What do you think about that?
