Brad Pitt in a first look at Cogan’s Trade
Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant
Anytime Brad Pitt has a movie coming out it’s kind of big news, but his next film COGAN’S TRADE sounds more intriguing than most. The film is being directed by Andrew Dominik and follows a professional enforcer named Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) who has been hired to look into a robbery of a poker-game that was run by the mob. The game is handled by two junkies played by Ben Mendelsohn and Scoot McNairy, there’s also a hustler played by Ray Liotta (because you know if the mob is involved in a film he’s got to be involved too), an alcoholic hit man is being portrayed by James Gandolfini and Richard Jenkins is a lawyer who has some inside information. COGAN’S TRADE is being described as a dark comedy/drama and should be released sometime early 2012.
Should we start making predictions about whether or not this film will win Brad Pitt an Oscar? One of these days he will win that golden statue , it may not be for COGAN’S TRADE but you never know with the Academy these days.
