Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta skate around on the set of Rock of Ages

I’m always excited for a new Tom Cruise movie, but I will be the first to admit that I’m nervous about ROCK OF AGES. First, director Adam Shankman seems like a tool and not necessarily the person I’d trust Tom Cruise’s first musical performance with. Second, I’m not sure Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta are the best choice to center the film around. Sure, the other stars like Cruise, Russell Brand, Mary J. Blige, Paul Giamatti, Malin Akerman and Catherine Zeta-Jones will carry the film, but it remains to be seen whether Hough and Boneta can hold their own with the impressive cast. Finally, are we sure 80’s music is the best choice to base a musical around?
The pictures below show Hough and Boneta frolicking around Hollywood, FL while filming scenes for the film. There’s nothing wrong with Hough in a bikini, but I’m anxious to see how they make Tom Cruise look like an 80’s rocker. ROCK OF AGES hits theaters next year.
