While WATER FOR ELEPHANTS wasn’t the defining post-Twilight film that Robert Pattinson fans had hoped for, they can already turn their attention towards some of his upcoming projects, including BEL AMI and COSMOPOLIS. News has been quiet on both films, but today we get a first image from COSMOPOLIS courtesy of director David Cronenberg’s daughter Caitlin Cronenberg. The pic features Pattinson and co-star Sarah Gadon staring lovingly at each other in the back of a car. The film is about a wealthy millionaire driving around New York City who in the course of a day manages to have an affair, lose his fortune and trying to avoid some men that are trying to kill him. Sounds like a busy day.
Along with Pattinson and Gadon, the film stars Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, Mathieu Amalric, Kevin Durand, Samantha Morton and Jay Baruchel. The film will hit theaters in 2012.
