Shannon Elizabeth completes the American Pie Reunion

Universal and the filmmakers behind AMERICAN REUNION, the fourth theatrical film in the AMERICAN PIE series, are probably pretty grateful that none of the stars of AMERICAN PIE managed to establish careers after the success of the film. Sean William Scott had a few hits, but as he’s admitted, they were all just variations of Stiffler. Alyson Hannigan has a hit TV show, but her dabble in film hasn’t been quite as successful. Mena Suvari had AMERICAN BEAUTY, but it was kind of a free-fall after that. So there was really no excuse for anyone that appeared in the first film to not return for the fourth. So the news that Shannon Elizabeth, who many thought was going to make it, returning should not come as a surprise.
The film stars Scott, Hannigan, Suvari, Jason Biggs, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein, Eugene Levy, Tara Reid, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jennifer Coolidge and the newly added Katrina Bowen. The fourth film will see the gang reunite for their 10 year reunion and the film will be called AMERICAN REUNION. Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE) are writing and directing.
