It’s a very slow news day, so we’ve resorted to showing you makeup commercials. But this isn’t just any normal commercial, this one is directed by Darren Aronofsky, stars Jessica Biel and features music from Pharrell. A recipe for success you might be thinking, but it doesn’t quite work. Pharrell has a lot of decent songs, but this isn’t one of them. And there’s nothing about it that reminds us of Darren Aronofsky except maybe the black and white style and the out-of-focus way it was shot. So why are we posting it? It’s a slow news day, remember?
After dropping out of the WOLVERINE sequel, Aronofsky’s schedule has been up in the air. As for Jessica Biel, she’s working on NEW YEAR’S EVE, where she plays a “hugely pregnant woman”, so there’s that to look forward to. She also has the TOTAL RECALL reboot on the horizon.
