Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon bringing Water for Elephants to Blu-ray

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment (French division) has announced that the romantic drama WATER FOR ELEPHANTS, starring Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz, will have a tentative release date of September 7, 2011. Directed by Francis Lawrence and based on the novel by Sara Gruen, the story follows Jacob Jankowski (Pattinson), a veterinary student who upon learning about the accidental death of his parents, decides to join a traveling circus as their animal caretaker. While employed he meets and falls for the star of the show Marlena (Witherspoon) who happens to be married to the ringmaster and owner of the circus, August (Waltz). WATER FOR ELEPHANTS had moderate success at the box office, pulling in over $54 million. Not a bad showing considering this is Bob Patty’s first tentpole role since the TWILIGHT series.
No special features have yet been announced, and since this did come from the French branch of Twentieth Century Fox, there may be a date change. However, when more information surfaces we’ll let you know.
