Josh Stewart joins Christian Bale and Tom Hardy in The Dark Knight Rises

Silly me. Here I was thinking that all the casting had been decided for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. They’ve already started filming and they’ve even released the first promo shot of Tom Hardy as Bane, so I figured all we had to look forward to is the onslaught of marketing images and materials that were sure to come over the next several months. But nope, just when I thought it was over, they announce that the Josh Stewart has joined the large cast. Stewart starred in THE COLLECTOR as well as several appearances on TV shows such as ‘Third Watch’ and ‘No Ordinary Family’. In true THE DARK KNIGHT RISES style, there’s no mention as to what role he’ll be playing. But given his overall creepy look, I’m guessing he’s not going to be a good guy.
The Christopher Nolan directed sequel stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Marion Cotillard, Matthew Modine and Gary Oldman. It hits theaters on July 20, 2012.
