The Dark Knight Rises teaser trailer has apparently leaked, judge for yourself

The internet is currently (or soon to be) in an uproar over the apparent leaked teaser trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES that is apparently showing in front of some prints of GREEN LANTERN. There are many things to point out with this trailer, most notably that it shows us practically nothing. We get a quick glimpse of a bunch of bats flying with a red background. No Christian Bale, no Tom Hardy, not even a voice over. If I were to make an argument that it’s a fake, it would be the font used in the trailer looks like standard font, which seems out of place and I would’ve suspected more use of the color blue like we saw in the supposed first logo. But if I were to make an argument that it’s real, I would point to the fact that Christopher Nolan and David Fincher recently sat down to discuss THE TREE OF LIFE and as you may recall, David Fincher did something similar with the first trailer for THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. So maybe Nolan liked the idea and tried it for himself.
Is this a fake trailer? We don’t know. But if it is, then mad props to the guy/gal that put this together. The film stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Cain and opens July 20th, 2012.
