It’s a little shameless for the cast of Glee to go on a 3D concert tour, but now’s the right time to cash in on the show’s success. Everyone still loves the show and the kids still look relatively young. Who knows how much longer they’re going to be able to keep this up? The first image from GLEE: THE 3D CONCERT MOVIE is below and it looks fun. Glee is one of those guilty pleasures for just about everyone in the world and I’m no exception. I get a kick out of watching high school kids bust out into song while dealing with normal teenage angst.
The film/concert stars all the high school cast members, including Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Jayma Mays and Kevin Mchale (I don’t see Dianna Agron in the pic). I’m sure Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch will show up for a few songs at some point in the tour/film. The film hits theaters everywhere on August 1st.
